Data Compliance.

Privacy, data protection and information-security compliance for companies processing personal data across borders.

Corporate, financial and fiduciary services for enterprises operating across borders—delivered under Hong Kong SAR regulatory supervision, extended worldwide through our long-term partner network and run end to end on our proprietary SaaS platform.

The practice

An integrated
overview.

Any company with customers, employees or suppliers holds personal data. Once that data crosses a border, several regulatory systems may apply at once: Hong Kong SAR's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, Mainland China's PIPL, EU and UK GDPR, Singapore's PDPA and sector-specific rules.

We turn that patchwork into a managed programme by mapping data and its movement, establishing the required policies and controls, and keeping the framework current as the business, technology and law evolve.

Scope of work

What we do.

Licensed where a licence is required, expert where judgment is required and software-driven where transparency is required.

01

Data mapping and gap assessments covering information, systems, recipients and cross-border flows.

02

Privacy policies, collection statements, cookie and consent notices, employee policies and retention schedules.

03

Transfer impact assessments, standard contractual clauses, PRC outbound-transfer work and intra-group agreements.

04

Processor due diligence, data-processing agreements and monitoring of sub-processors.

05

Outsourced DPO and local representative support, including management of data-subject requests.

06

Incident-response playbooks, breach assessment, statutory notifications and remediation.

Across borders

Global reach.

Data obligations are assessed wherever information travels. We coordinate EU and UK GDPR, Singapore PDPA, UAE federal and free-zone laws, Australia's Privacy Act, U.S. state privacy requirements and other regimes required by the client's data footprint. Bilingual teams in Hong Kong SAR, Shenzhen and Guangzhou support PIPL, Data Security Law and Cyberspace Administration requirements. The client receives one programme, one obligations register and one point of accountability.

One platform · Under continuous development

How we deliver.

Data Compliance is an expert-led service accessed through the platform. A new market, product, vendor contract, data-subject request or suspected incident is routed to the appropriate in-house or partner specialist through one secure channel. Scope and fees are confirmed before work begins, and completed data maps, policies, transfer assessments and filings are returned through the portal beside the client's corporate, HR and financial records. Because the specialist works from those same records, the client does not need to re-describe the business at every consultation.

Fees & consultation

Across all practices, our fees are either published in advance or confirmed in writing before work begins. Government disbursements are passed through at exact cost with no markup. Because Hong Kong SAR levies no VAT or GST, our Hong Kong SAR figures are final as stated, with local taxes on partner-delivered services disclosed in the quotation. We assess each client's structure and objectives, then propose the most compliant and cost-effective path forward.

Professional standing

This material is general information, not professional advice. TrueLinks Limited (Licence No. TC011093) is licensed as a Trust or Company Service Provider under Cap. 615, and audit and tax work is delivered by independent licensed CPA firms. Any other service requiring a licence, permit or professional registration is provided only after the relevant authorisation has been obtained or through a partner firm holding it; we do not offer regulated services without the necessary authorisation.

Partners & platform

Services outside Hong Kong SAR are delivered through appropriately licensed partner firms. Platform features include live functionality under improvement and planned modules not yet released; all remain under continuous development and may be modified, added or withdrawn.
